My Smart Notes is a personal note-taking application and check-list developed by Nexzoft. The app is designed to function entirely offline and prioritize user privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is (or is not) collected, how your data is handled, and your rights regarding your information while using the app.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal or sensitive data from users. My Smart Notes does not require registration, login, or any form of user identification. There is no backend server or cloud storage involved. All data stays within your device.
- No email address, name, or phone number is requested or collected.
- No location data, camera, contacts, or files are accessed.
- There is no background data collection or telemetry.
3. Local Data Storage (Room Database)
All notes created in My Smart Notes are securely stored using Android’s local database system called Room Database. This data is:
- Saved only on your device (offline).
- Automatically deleted if the user uninstalls the app.
- Completely private — we have no access to it.
No cloud sync or remote data backup is implemented in this app version.
4. Permissions
My Smart Notes is designed to respect your privacy and device security. The app does not require any special permissions from your device. Specifically:
- No internet access is required or used for note-taking.
- No file system permissions are requested.
- No background services or device identifiers are accessed.
Import & Export Feature
The Import & Export option uses Android's Storage Access Framework (SAF) to let you manually choose where to save or load your notes. This means:
- The app never automatically accesses your storage.
- You explicitly choose the folder or file when exporting or importing notes.
- All operations happen locally — nothing is uploaded or shared online.
You can confirm this by checking the app’s permission list in your Android system settings.
5. Advertisement and Analytics
This app does not contain any advertisements and does not use analytics SDKs such as Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics. No usage statistics, crash reports, or behavior tracking is implemented in the app.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our app is suitable for users of all ages, including children. We do not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. All notes and preferences are stored locally on your device and are never shared with us or third parties. We fully comply with COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act).
7. Third-Party Libraries
my smart notes app uses the open source compose rich editor library developed by mohamad rajeb to support rich text formatting features like bold headings,underline,italization etc.
this library is licensed under the apache 2.0 License. it does not collect, track or transmit any user data. it runs fully within the app and has no internt or analytics integration.we ensure that even external open source tools, we use, follow strict privacy standards and do not compromise your data.
8. User Control
Since all data remains on your device, you have full control over your notes. You can delete individual notes or clear all data within the app at any time. Uninstalling the app will remove all data from your device automatically.
9. Data Security
Although My Smart Notes does not transmit or collect any data externally, the app ensures that all stored data is kept in private internal storage, which is isolated from other apps and inaccessible to the public.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy in the future if features are added that require any type of user data or permissions. If such changes are made, this page will be updated accordingly and the "last updated" date will be revised.
